The World of TESOL

The Emerald Coast TESOL board and members encourage all interested teachers and ESL students of all levels to join us for our annual conference to connect and share ideas, successes, and even challenges. The conference features a hybrid presentation with both in-person and online opportunities to attend. The in-person portion of the conference will be held at the International Center/Japan House in Building 71 on the University of West Florida campus in Pensacola, Florida. We have an exciting lineup of speakers and workshops planned along with a special lunchtime performance. In-person attendees will be offered lunch and refreshments. We will also have door prizes that will be announced throughout the conference.

Expert Presentations

Various faculty members and TESOL experts will present various workshops/sessions that will be about 20 minutes long, with some time alloted for question and answer.

Some of the topics include innovative approaches to teaching ESL with electronic devices, teaching proficiency through reading and storytelling, using a rubric and video assessment tool to improve teachers’ pedagogies, the assessment of multilingual learners, and more.

Attend & Engage Virtually

As this is a hybird conference, those who cannot attend in-person will have access to a Zoom link to listen and watch the conference presentations and ask questions of the speakers.
